Whenever you create a post, you can add an emoji to emphasise your feelings towards what you are writing about or responding to. Emojis are accessed via the editor tool bar like so:

If you hover over each emoji a little description will appear explaining what it means. Emojis are great for adding emphasis to your posts and replies, but they're also fun.

Reactions are similar in their appearance but that's where the similarity ends. Reactions allow you to, well, react to someone else's topic. You can only react to other members posts, not your own. If you can react you will find a 'Like' button at the bottom of each post - like so:

As with emojis if you hover over each one, before clicking/tapping, an explanation will appear so you know what your reaction will be for.

Any questions or issues reply below, and I'll come along to help you best I can.
