Overview:
Gun are back, and in style. This is a fantastic album - quite possibly the best of their career. Essential listening for any Gun fans, but the quality of songwriting here should appeal to all fans of rock music. Returning to their more 'rockier' sound of the Taking on The World, Gallus and Swagger - songs like 'She Knows', 'Here's Where I Am', the downright funky and dirty swagger (excuse the pun) of the title track, 'Silent Lovers', and 'Black Heart' have an immediate 'Gun' feel to them - a perfect mix of their own style and the influence rock legends of the last 30-40 years. The album closes with the hauntingly beautiful 'Boy Who Fooled The World' - a piano-led insight into growing up and listening to your musical heroes on the radio - a perfect ending to an absolutely stunning piece of work. If anyone has the silly notion that Rock music is dead, put this on and you will be cured.
